Samsung has recently unveiled the SmartThings Station which is officially arriving in South Korea and the United States this month. The device is small but the functionality inbuilt inside it is amazing, it supports the smart home IoT standard of Matter to facilitate connection with devices from Google, Amazon, Apple, etc.
As per the South Korean tech giant, having devices with hyper-connectivity will greatly increase the sustainability of the future beyond inter-device connection, and it is planning to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 with such innovation.
Apart from the SmartThings Station, the company also unveiled its game and video sync services in collaboration with Signify which soon be available on TVs in the future.
“Having a smarter home shouldn’t be complicated or expensive. So we wanted to create SmartThings Station as a simple, reliable and expandable smart home hub,” said Jaeyeon Jung, Samsung’s executive vice president and head of SmartThings, device platform center. “The number of devices in a connected home continues to grow, especially in light of the recent Matter standard launch. We’re proud to play a role in making it easier to embrace this exciting technology.”
