Philips Hue launches Sync App for Samsung TVs

Philips Hue Control Comes natively to some Samsung TVs

Philips Hue lighting great way to sync with what’s playing on your TV for a more immersive entertainment experience. The new feature also requires an additional hardware box and streaming device, along with the cost of the smart lights.

The new partnership with Samsung released a new Philips Hue Sync TV app that allows anyone with a 2022 and newer Samsung OLED TV in the Q60 or higher range to sync with their lights. From the Samsung TV app store starting January 5, 2023, you can acquire the app for $129.99. Each TV requires a separate app download.

Hue smart lights will sync with anything shown on the screen including native apps like Netflix and Disney+ through this app. With 4K and HDR 10+ it will also support all image formats. Using the app, you can set the intensity of the syncing, adjust the light brightness, select video or game mode, enable automatic starting, and more.

Two New Outdoor Lights and More

The new Philips Hue PAR38 floodlight bulbs in white and color ambiance are designed for use outdoors. As an addition to existing PAR38 bulbs that offer white light, the new floodlight bulbs bring shades of white and color light to any backyard or walkway.
