On January 02, 2022, Samsung has officially held the ‘2023 Opening Ceremony’ at ‘Samsung Digital City’ in Suwon. The new year ceremony was attended by more than 150 people, including CEO and Vice Chairman Han Jong-hee and CEO and President Byeon Kyung-hyun, as well as key executives and employees.
During the ceremony, Vice Chairman Han and President Byeon Hyun said, “I would like to express my deep gratitude to the executives and employees at home and abroad for their dedication and hard work in their respective positions despite the difficult external conditions,” and urged, “Let’s once again cross the limit wall by mirroring the past experience of leaping higher every time we have a crisis.”
Vice Chairman said, “Since 2023 is the first year to launch the ‘New Environmental Management Strategy’ in earnest, let’s actively foster eco-friendly technology as our future competitiveness and make the use of Samsung products create a sustainable tomorrow.”
He also said that “In times of difficulty, let’s do our best to secure technological competitiveness by discovering technologies that are not in the world, technologies that can change the world, improving quality power, which is an absolute value that cannot be compromised, and winning the hearts of customers and providing differentiated experiences.”
This 2023 year opening ceremony was broadcast live to all business sites in Korea through a video conferencing system.
