Samsung Highway under Construction in Williamson County in the U.S.

Reportedly Samsung Highway is under construction in Williamson County in the U.S. state of Texas. The investment is worth more than 20 trillion won.

Williamson County recently announced that it will name a new road connecting Samsung’s new semiconductor plant and an existing highway the “Samsung Highway.” The county announced a plan to build a US$22 million road in December last year. Williamson County is an autonomous district that includes Taylor, a city where Samsung’s new semiconductor plant will be located.

As per the information, Samsung Highway is said to join Farm-Market (FM) Road 3349 to FM Road 973. It is being built as a round-trip four-lane road. The road will be completed at the end of 2024. County authorities are supporting the establishment of infrastructure so that logistics can move smoothly after the completion of the Samsung plant, sources say. “This road construction project is part of our long-term transportation infrastructure improvement plan,” a county official said.
