Samsung teases Apple for not having a foldable screen iPhone

Samsung is continuously making fun of Apple’s new iPhones. To recall, the company joked about Apple dropping the headphone jack (in 2016), iPhone X’s notch, removing the adapter (in 2020), and more.

This year in 2022, Samsung made fun of iPhone 14 Series in multiple ads. Ahead of the iPhone 14 series being announced, Samsung mocked Apple for the lack of “innovation” in the new iPhone models. “With the new innovations heads will turn, but not in your direction,” said an ad adding that the ‘upcoming iPhones’ are not getting the 108MP Space Zoom feature that Samsung launched in 2020.

Over the last five years, Samsung has not been able to stop teasing the iPhone at the most appropriate moment. Now, Samsung once again published a new video on Weibo, the ad shows a football stadium in which the fans, represented by the Galaxy Z Flip 4, are intent on recreating the famous “Ola” – the typical choreography of international sporting events – made except for some of them (probably iPhone) who are unable to do so due to the lack of a folding screen which forces them to reluctantly give up.

Quick Single: Samsung TROLL Apple AGAIN (New Ad)

The advertising, due to the target market, is characterized by an extravagant and bizarre style that manages to make fun of the iPhone, almost marginalizing it from the rest due to its all too traditional form-factor.

Samsung can probably be considered the progenitor of the foldable category having experimented with folding screens on a smartphone well in advance of the competition, so much so that it has released complete and mature products such as the Galaxy Z Flip 4 ( here our re-test after 3 months of use) and Galaxy Z Fold 4 ( here our analysis after 3 months of use). On the other side of the ocean, Apple, as usual, has chosen a more cautious approach but there is no doubt that it has accumulated a considerable delay against its rival.

Meanwhile, as per Ross Young and The Elec, Apple is working on MacBook with a folding screen and a foldable with which to replace the iPad mini even if the launch of both seems to be expected not before 2025.
