Samsung has reportedly reduced its mid-range smartphone Galaxy A23 5G shipment target for this year. Earlier it was reported the shipment of 12.6 million units, but now according to the new report, the shipment reduced to less than 4 million units, a drop of 70%.

Earlier this year, Samsung set a goal of shipping 17.1 million Galaxy A23 4G and 12.6 million Galaxy A23 5G phones. Total shipments will reach 30 million units, which is equivalent to about 10% of Samsung’s total annual shipments.

The biggest change in Samsung’s development of the Galaxy A23 5G is the change of preferred partners in development. Now, according to the information, Sunny Optical was selected as the developer of the 50-megapixel wide-angle main camera, which is equipped with OIS anti-shake function.
