Samsung’s smartphone business is compelled by the company’s Mobile eXperience (MX) division. On the hand, the Exynos chipsets are made by the System LSI division. Notably, Samsung’s smartphone business division has reportedly established a completely new team. This is to develop and design its own chipsets, which indicates that probably it does not use Exynos chips from System LSI in the future.
Believing on the report from The Elec, Samsung MX has developed a new team in order to develop smartphone chipsets. It speculated that this new group was created. So that the smartphone development team could design its own processor instead of relying on System LSI for its chipsets.

Furthermore, this new team will accompany by Won-Joon Choi, Executive VP of Samsung Electronics. Notably, recently he was appointed as Head of the Flagship Product R&D Team and Technology Strategy Team at Samsung MX. And, before Samsung, he was associated with Qualcomm as a wireless chip expert.
Furthermore, Samsung brought out a major of its flagship devices in two variants. Out of two, one is Exynos, and the other is with Qualcomm SoC. On the other hand, the one powered by Qualcomm chipsets has comparatively faster performance, better thermals, higher power efficiency, and extended battery life. With respect to models packed with Exynos chips.
Is this decision good for the Users?
Noticeably, people who reside in the region where Samsung has come up with Exynos versions has seems to complain about its performance issues. Instead of having the same price tag. Because of the same reason, Korean tech decided to exclusively assemble all Galaxy S23 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 worldwide respectively.
Moreover, for a brand like Samsung, it is difficult to source from another brand. Especially when they already have the expertise to make their own chipsets.
