Samsung is set to launch its new prototype in the world of the tailored monitor keeping the concern of professional user’s needs in the mind. The monitor, Samsung ViewFinity S8UT consists of a 27-inch IPS panel with HDR-10 functionality ensuring clear colors on the screen. The wide viewing angle of up to 178 degrees – both horizontally and vertically – is convenient for working on photo or video projects. It combines 4K UHD resolution with a large color space that covers up to 98 percent of the sRGB color palette. One billion factory-calibrated colors are available to the user.

High connectivity for fast data transfer
- With two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces and a LAN port, the new Samsung ViewFinity S8UT has a fast workflow. An external notebook connected via Thunderbolt can be easily connected to the Ethernet signal. This function is particularly useful if the notebook to be connected does not have an external HDMI, VGA, display port, or other graphical interface.
- The ViewFinity S8UT can also use its Thunderbolt 4 ports to charge external devices such as notebooks or mobile phones with up to 90 watts of power without requiring an additional cable.
- Thunderbolt 4 can do even more: Data is transmitted at a speed of up to 40 Gbit/s. This enables the fast transfer of memory-intensive video or image files. With the Wake-on-LAN (WOL) function in Thunderbolt 4, computers or other devices can be remotely switched on, off, and awakened from sleep mode.
- The new Samsung ViewFinity S8UT monitor offers a dual UHD setup with a daisy chain. The daisy-chain technology with Thunderbolt 4 enables a workstation with two 4K monitors without the hassle of installing a second monitor cable.
- Practical: Only one monitor needs to be connected to the notebook or PC. With two Thunderbolt 4 ports, users can use compatible PCs and Macs and enjoy the larger screen real estate. All this work will be available with Thunderbolt 4 via Plug & Play.

- The adaptive picture function of the Samsung S8UT automatically adjusts the brightness and color temperature to the ambient light.
- A special eye protection mode reduces the emission of blue light and the flicker-free function contributes to the TÜV certification “Intelligent Eye Care“.
- The Samsung ViewFinity S8UT is designed for efficiency, productivity, and convenience. The monitor can be easily installed on the wall or on separate monitor arms, with the VESA preparation.
- The slim and space-saving HAS monitor stand supports the search for the right ergonomic working position with the tilting, rotating, or pivot function.
- The integrated speakers free up space on the desk, as no external sound system is required.
ViewFinity S8UT desk saves energy
Samsung’s Eco Saving Plus technology can improve the energy efficiency and performance of the ViewFinity S8UT. It analyzes the screen content and can automatically adjust the brightness of black areas to reduce power consumption by up to 10 percent. Samsung seems conscious of the future as ViewFinity models come in paper and ink-reduced packaging.
