Samsung dual display laptop patent shows ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo-like design

Samsung is the first one in the league that has come with foldable phones as compared to its competitor. Now as a part of this, the South Korean tech firm now seems to apply the same foldable display technology on laptops as well. As the company filed a new patent for a laptop that reveals the same. It has an ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo-like design with dual displays.

On the other hand, the ASUS laptop has two visibly separate displays. At the same time, Samsung’s patent suggests that one of its displays that can be folded. Also, the patent was filed a long time back in 2020 at the United States Design Patent. And the same was published on November 22nd as recognized by 91mobiles.

Also, the patent images depict a large foldable display. And it can be folded from the middle to create the main screen and a secondary screen. Whereas the part of the screen that’s located next to the keyboard could be used as a virtual trackpad respectively. Also, we can see two Thunderbolt ports on the right side of the laptops.

Samsung foldable laptop is inspired by ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo and Intel’s Horseshoe Bend

Talking about the design then it clearly reflects that majorly seems like ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo and Intel’s Horseshoe Bend that was showcased at CES 2020. The same suggests that the laptop can be viewed in full vertical pattern scrolling from top to bottom.

The content will constantly flow across dual screens. This is combined with Samsung’s AMOLED display. It definitely going to bring an immersive viewing experience. It has been said that the keyboard will be positioned at the bottom. While considering it a foldable laptop, the key’s distance should definitely be less. Also, there should be a noticeable crease whereby the display folds from the middle.

In addition to the above info, the patent does not reveal any specific info with respect to the key specification of the Samsung dual display laptop. But, it is quite clear that it is packed with an Intel processor inside, an AMOLED display, Windows OS, and much more. However, the design is still in the patent stage, also it isn’t at this point in time that Samsung will launch it commercially.
