Samsung’s tablet shipments in India increases at healthy jump of 83% in Q3 2022

It concluded that the tablet market in India is observing a decent good rise, especially for 5G capable devices.

Reportedly, as per the latest report revealed by CyberMedia Research, the same is the institutional member of the Market Research Society of India. It concluded that the tablet market in India is observing a decent good rise, especially for 5G capable devices. Only in July and September 2022, the Indian tablet grew by 22% QoQ respectively.

Also, CyberMedia Research highlighted that if the trend will continue. Then the Indian tablet market will be going to record a healthy 10-15% growth in 2022. Whereas the tablet market has not seems a stronghold for any specific company in India. Also, the arrival of 5G enabled devices seems to be working in favor of companies like Samsung and Lenovo.

Talking about Samsung then it led the tablet market with a 28% market share. On the other hand, Lenovo and Apple were next to Samsung by sharing 26% and 19% market share in Q4. While the CMD claims that:

“The India tablet market grew 22 percent quarter-on-quarter, with 5G-capable tablet shipments picking up steam in the run-up to the festive season.”

Tablets with 8-inch screens saw rising demand and constituted 43% of the overall shipments in the Indian market. Recent 5G auctions and the beginning of the 5G era in India also contributed to the demand for 5G capable tablets. Similar trends are seen for 5G capable smartphones as well, with Samsung leading from the front.

Additionally, Tablets with 8-inch screens saw a drastic rising demand. It comprises 43% of the overall shipments in the Indian market. Whereas the recent 5G auctions and the beginning of the 5G era in India also result in the demand for 5G capable tablets. Also, the same trend has been noticed in the 5G enabled smartphones.

The Galaxy Tab A8 and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite’s Wi-Fi and 4G models were top picks among Indian users, with both capturing 25% and 18% of the total market share, respectively. Samsung, being the most popular brand, recorded 83% QoQ growth in the Q3 of 2022. Thanks to commercial business and partnerships, Lenovo stood second in the entire region.

Moving ahead, the Galaxy Tab A8 and also Galaxy Tab A7 Lite’s WiFi and 4G models were the best choices among Indian users. Coming to the market share both captured 25% and 18% of the total market share. At the same time, Samsung is the top popular brand that recorded 83% QoQ growth in the Q3 of 2022 as per Cybermedia. The credit goes to commercial businesses and partnerships, while Lenovo comes second in the entire region.

Apple iPad shipments recorded a 26% QoQ growth in Q3 2022. Along with the Apple iPad 9 and Apple iPad Air 2022 (Wi-Fi) have a 57% and 15 % market share. Subsequently, followed by the Apple iPad Pro 2021 with 8% and the Apple iPad Air 2022 with 6% share across the tablet market.
