Samsung expands One UI 5 update to Enhance Customized Experience and Security Features

Samsung has started expanding the update of the Galaxy software platform ‘One UI 5’ with Google Android 13 to various mobile lineups.

The latest One UI 5 features enhanced customization while upgrading usability and privacy features to provide an optimized mobile experience for each user.

The main feature includes Answer call by text which converts voice to text or text to voice during a call. The second main feature is the Mode and Routine which allows you to automatically execute preset actions or settings according to the usage environment and activity.

Galaxy S, Z, A and Tab S series, etc.

From November 17, 2022, Samsung has started sending the new ‘One UI 5‘ version to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4. Foldable products such as the previously released Z Flip series and Z Fold 2 and 3 are all expected to be updated by the end of this year.

Galaxy S series One UI 5

The Galaxy S22 lineup has already been updated with the Android 13 version. The S20 series and Galaxy Note 20 series will also get a stable One UI 5 (Android 13) update later this month in South Korea.

Starting with the Galaxy Tab S8 released earlier this year, tablet products will also be updated sequentially throughout the year, including the Tab S7 FE released last year and the Tab S7 and Tab S6 Lite released in 2020.

One UI 5 Sleep mode

Including the Galaxy A53 and A33 5G released this year, the A52s 5G and A32 released last year will also be updated sequentially by the end of the year.

Samsung says “Compared to the previous update, the time interval from One UI deployment to the application has been significantly reduced and the scope of the application has been broadened”. Samsung Electronics will continue to strengthen cooperation with Google and actively listen to user feedback to continue to update the One UI faster and more completely.
