According to the latest CINNO Research statistics, the shipment of AMOLED smartphone panels globally in the third quarter of 2022 was about 140 million, down 4.8% from the same period last year and up 9.1% from the second quarter.
In the third quarter of 2022, South Korea accounted for 69.6%, domestic manufacturers accounted for 30.4%, and the domestic share increased by 10.1 percentage points compared with 20.4% in the same period last year.
Samsung SDC Shipments
As per the latest research, Samsung AMOLED smartphone panel shipments were about 82.5 million pieces, down 21.9% year-on-year and 6.2% month-on-month. This helps the South Korean tech giant to rank first in the industry.
The report also claimed that Samsung Display (SDC) shipments to domestic mainstream Android brands have dropped sharply.
BOE Shipments
On the second position, BOE AMOLED smartphone panel shipments were about 17.5 million, a year-on-year increase of 23.1% and a month-on-month increase of 52.2%.
LG Shipments
In the third position LG Display (LGD) AMOLED smartphone panels was approximately 13 million, a year-on-year increase of 41.3%, a month-on-month increase of 91.2%, and a market share of 9.5%, a year-on-year increase of 3.1 percentage points.
Visionox Shipments
Visionox AMOLED smartphone panel shipments were about 9 million pieces, up 42.2% year-on-year, down 7.2% month-on-month, with a market share of 6.6%, up 2.2 percentage points year-on-year, ranking fourth in the world and second in China.
