Now In Android App launched by Google for modern app development

Google has officially released a “Now in Android” app for the best modern development practices. As per the official description, Now in Android App is built entirely with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. It follows Android design and development best practices and is intended to be a useful reference for developers.

Now in Android is earlier available on Github for developers to build themselves and now after getting the official Play store URL, if will give you access to experience “Android design and development best practices.”

It’s similar in concept to the Compose Material Catalog, and the other function is to “help developers keep up-to-date with the world of Android development by providing regular news updates.”

Talking about the design, the app gives you a simple Material 3 app layout with dark theme, as well as wallpaper-based dynamic color theming. Now in Android also “uses adaptive layouts to support different screen sizes” as part of Google’s ongoing large screen push.
