Motorola rollable phone concept

In the vision to give a message to Samsung, Motorola spilled out the new captivating smartphone market strategy. Knowingly, currently, Samsung is referring to the leading brand in the market with all possibilities to satisfy the demand of the customer. Now, in between where Samsung has already rolled out its foldable screen smartphones Motorola engages with the concept of its first rollable smartphone.

Motorola showcased a new smartphone concept with a rollable OLED display, during the Lenovo Tech World 2022 event. Withdrawal of the device can be with its display with a press of a button. When once retracted, it measures just over 4 inches, and when it’s extended, Motorola says that the display measures 6.5 inches diagonally. That sounds practical really.

The video I have embedded below has just given us only a glimpse of the device’s front. Although apparently, the bottom part of the phone is where the display extends from. Content on the rollable smartphone will also dynamically adjust to expand the screen when watching videos. And Lenovo will continue to work on other potential use cases.

Yet the plan is not revealed by the company but is hidden that how they produce and sell the device clearly.

Motorola is also working on a rollable laptop which brings a vertically expanding screen for better multitasking, browsing, and screen real-estate use. Lenovo did not share any further details on its rollable phone and laptop plans for now.

Dissolution…

After all the expliting, It is awaited to see how Samsung finds Motorola’s new rollable smartphone form factor interesting enough to react. Samsung has already assembled its foldable flagship in the field. And reportedly working on a dual-foldable tablet that could launch within the next couple of years.
