Samsung new battery widget in One UI 5

Samsung’s latest One UI 5 development shows handy features during the SDC 2022. The South Korean tech firm indeed brought several features including video wallpaper, a customized clock, Bixby text call, a privacy dashboard, relax mode, and more.

A new feature of the Android 13 and One UI 5 update is the new battery widget. Samsung may roll out this feature on the stable One UI 5 update.

If we go through the official One UI 5 announcement images, we can see a lot of innovations in One UI 5. If you pay close attention to the below One UI 5 gif image, you can spot two versions of an as-yet-unknown battery widget.

The widget shows all your connected devices – including your Buds, your Watch, and even your S Pen.

In Android 12 and One UI 4.x, you can place separate widgets for your different connected gadgets on your phone’s home screen. But that is of course not nearly as clear as one central, compact widget where you see everything at once.

So there are roughly two possibilities. The battery widget will still show up in the eventual official upgrade to One UI 5. Meanwhile, you can check the eligible Samsung One UI 5 device list here.
