Finally, Google’s YouTube is now able to give you a unique name with “@-handles”. Yes, you read it right, Google has officially announced the “handles” today to boost the community aspects of the video site. This will help you to create a better identification.
This important move will give you a huge presence on Youtube. It will appear on channel pages and shorts so that it will easy recognized.
@-handle will give you an easy way to mention it in the comments and posts. Google said channels that already have a personalized URL will automatically have that become their default handle. That said, “they can opt to change the handle for their channel as soon as the notification in YouTube Studio comes through.”
Meanwhile, a matching youtube.com/@[handle] URL will be created. For example, if your channel has already claimed a unique URL then there’s no need to update links. YouTube also shared a FAQ page here.
