Google newly released Weather app has lesser features compared to Samsung’s app

Google Home and Phone are the two apps for the platform, also concurrently redesign the Google Keep app.

Recently, Google launched its Pixel 7 series flagship smartphone along with Pixel Watch. This unveiled is excellent news for the Wear OS platform. And for this launch, Google has already done its workout prior to the launch. Therefore, Google released two new apps just immediately after the launch. Google Home and Phone for the platform, also concurrently redesign the Google Keep app.

Additionally, they won’t stop here being at a good pace in terms of improvement. Google has now released a Weather app for Wear OS, which simultaneously is now made available for all smartwatches that run on Wear OS 3.0(and newer). It means the user who used to carry Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series can download it.

Although, the new app is very at this point of time. Through this app, you will be able to see the weather conditions of the current location but at present, this won’t show you the option to check the forecast for any other region or location. After scrolling down this will show you the weather forecasting for the next eight hours. While scrolling it further, one can able to see the weather forecast for the next five days. It also provides the option to switch between the temperature unit, Celsius to Fahrenheit and vice versa.

Moreover, you will find more, which probably does not limit just to the Weather app, when you open it. This also brings a tile known as Forecast, and anyone can already guess what it is, as it shows the current weather conditions. The Google Weather app also brings two more variations to the watch faces, namely UV index and weather. Notably, the app has lesser features compared to Samsung’s Weather app. as it shows more intricate weather information. But all this makes us realise that Google at the right path to do what is necessary in order to improve Wear OS.
