LineageOS has extended its LineageOS 19 support to a range of Android-based devices. To be noted, the LineageOS 19 debuted earlier this year. It is based on Android 12, and the same custom ROM recently provide support for the Xiaomi Mi 6, Moto G 5G Plus, Motorola Edge, and the ZUK Z2 Plus. Now, the LineageOS team is extending its support to another product line. It includes five more devices, and that includes the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, and Samsung phones respectively.

LineageOS is the most popular custom ROM so far, as an open-source firmware, with over 2.6 million active users. It started its journey under the name Cyanogen, having been released all the way back in 2009 for HTC models Dream and Magic.

Earlier this year, Samsung rolled out the stable version of One UI 4 which is based on Android 12 to both Galaxy A52 4G and Galaxy A72. These two mid-rangers receive the same stable build in January. And as compared to the OnePlus Android 12 skin, with the release of Samsung One UI 4.1 users haven’t faced numerous issues. To carry on with the LineageOS 19 on your device. All you need to unlock your device’s bootloader and install a custom recovery like TWRP. And hence if someone is not sure about the steps, then the same is provided on the ‘XDA developers‘ website. After being done with unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP. The next move is to go through the installation instructions and other linked documentation provided on the Wiki page. Be noted, that before installation, be ensure to take a backup of the data that might get lost.

Also, keep one thing in an account, LineageOS 19 does not come with Google apps pre-installed. Therefore, users will have to flash a compatible GApps package after installing the ROM. If they want to use any Google apps or services respectively.
