Samsung throws a forward fold while hosting its Samsung Tech Day 2022. The event returned to in-person attendance at the Signia by Hilton San Jose hotel after three years. Over 800 customers and partners attended the feature presentation on the Memory and System LSI business. The tech giant shared about the latest logic chip that will be for the next coming generation.
Samsung birds chattered information at the event, including Jung-bae Lee, President, and Head of Memory Business; Yong-In Park, President and Head of System LSI Business; and Jaeheon Jeong, Executive Vice President and Head of Device Solutions (DS) Americas Office — on the company’s latest advancements and its vision for the future.
Next-Generation Logic Chips Showcased
The System LSI Division is designing core semiconductors that we need for living our daily lives in the era of 5G and artificial intelligence. Equipped with a 5G Exynos Modem 5300 and a neural network processing unit. The Exynos Auto V920 processor is a core semiconductor that acts as the brain not only for mobile devices but for cars as well.
To be one of the best Samsung turned its face toward the QD OLED DDI display. Selectively essential parts of various industries such as mobile, home appliances, and automotive. Using advanced pixel technology, 200MP ISOCELL HP3 image sensors with a 12 percent smaller pixel size than the predecessor’s 0.64μm. approximately 20 percent reduction in camera module surface area can be enabled. This can provide more vivid and accurate images on mobile devices and in cars.
They also demonstrated the working of System LSI’s fingerprint security IC for biometric payment cards. This combines a fingerprint sensor, Secure Element (SE), and Secure Processor, adding an extra layer of authentication and security to payment cards.
