Google needs more than 60 years to hold the flow of Samsung Galaxy phones sales

As there is a huge gap between Google and the South Korean tech leader, Samsung

Google is a behemoth tech firm, having span across various sectors. Although the brand had its very first smartphone launched in 2016, therefore it has been in the smartphone industry for the last 6 years only. If counting in numbers, the company can sell 27.6 million units as of now. Hence there is a huge gap between this brand and the South Korean tech leader, Samsung. As per the report, presented by a Bloomberg reporter @vladsavov, which depicts a quite shocking figure. And as per him, Google needs more than 60 years to hold the flow that Samsung Galaxy phones sales do have in 12 months period.

As we all know that Samsung has already proven its name in front of the world. The market leader has a strong position, especially in the United States. Therefore, it become the synonym for Android smartphones there. This is the primary reason why several other top brands cant makes compete with Samsung in the US.

GOOGLE PIXEL IS STILL NO COMPETITOR TO SAMSUNG GALAXY

As the report says, Google has managed to sell 27.6 million Pixel phones last in 6 years since launching the series in 2016. Thus as per this calculation, this is equivalent to 1/10 of Samsung’s smartphones sales in a year (2021). These simple facts show that Google will require more than 60 years to achieve this number that Samsung does in a single year. Here we are not mentioning the sales pace as it gets might speed up.

Although, it’s quite unnatural to blame Google for ineffective business. Since Samsung is being in the market for a long time. On the other hand, Google is a newbie. And in this way, it needs some time to create a retail network globally. And if it’s not done, then the Pixel series will never be going to threaten Samsungs mobile business.

The same implies to smartwatches powered by Google’s Wear OS. It has been a year, and Samsung has its exclusive rights to the latest OS version for wearables. Whereas, Samsung has its largest Wear OS 3 market share. While Google will also release its first ‘Pixel Watch smartwatch. And again, the same competition it will be going to face to catch up with Galaxy Watch sales.
