SAMSUNG - Flex Gaming, Flex G and Flex S

Samsung Display Co., which is the largest panel maker in South Korea, is involved in conducting activities (road shows). It consists of visiting university campuses crosses the country. It is carried out by using trucks equipped with next-generation foldable products.

This is done in order to attract various university students, whereas the South Korean tech firm is hosting recruitment roadshows on a rotation basis at eight universities across the country. In addition to this info, the Samsung Display Day event has been scheduled and starts from 1st Sept onwards. And it consists of product displays and recruitment consultation respectively.

This event is scheduled to run until Sept 14, and to create an experience centre. The company is transformed a 5-ton truck into a showcase stage. Here, it is to display QD-OLED and next-generation multi-foldable products that include the Flex S, Flex G, and Flex Gaming respectively.

QD-OLED

QD-OLED is a hybrid display technology that takes the elements of OLED and combines them with quantum dots( QD).

Although, the QD panel production is expensive as adopted by Samsung. It is because its yield is lower. The cost is estimated that needs to invest in the making of QD-OLED to be around 1.5 times that of an LG OLED display.

Flex S and Flex G

Flex S and Flex G are the dual-folding phone-tablet hybrid device concepts designed by Samsung Display to demonstrate other form factors enabled by foldable technology. While Samsung Display registered the “Flex G” trademark in South Korea. And the second trademark the “S Flex” was registered last July on KIPRIS.

 

Along with this, to make things getting better, Samsung Display executives are visiting universities for a detailed understanding of the products. They brief students about future technology which requires active R&D efforts, including foldable OLEDs and microdisplays.

And before the second half period of recruitment of new employees. Samsung Display hosting company information sessions and recruitment consultations at 25 universities across the country.
