Samsung Smart TVs: Digital art NFT platform is coming soon

This digital art platform ArtToken is reportedly coming to Samsung smart TVs as a dedicated app

Reportedly another piece of news coming from the house of Samsung. According to this Samsung smart TVs will soon going to offer a new way to enhance their user experience. And under this head, it allows customers to buy, store and view NFTs (non-fungible tokens). And this digital art platform ArtToken is reportedly coming to Samsung smart TVs as a dedicated app.

In addition to this, the ArtToken NFT TV app was developed “on Samsung’s expanded SmartThings platform. And as per ArtToken CEO Hong Ji-sook reporting by ‘The Korea Herald’. This app was recently showcased at IFA 2022 for some days held in Berlin. But at this point, it’s quite unclear when it will available to download. The platform can display information related to users’ NFT art collections on Samsung’s smart TVs. However, the details of the smart TV models that going to support the same remain unclear.

Not the first Samsung partnership with NFT platforms

It’s worth mentioning here, that this is not the first partnership between Samsung smart TVs and NFTs. It is noted that a few times back and earlier this year, Nifty Gateway announced the integration of its NFT platform with Samsung’s 2022 QLED and Neo QLED premium TVs. While the company also launched a standalone app for The Frame and Samsung’s MicroLED TVs.

Whereas the ArtToken NFT platform could become available for the same Samsung TV models as Nifty Gateway. As NFT fans have already access to thousands of digital art pieces and collectables through Samsung’s smart TVs. Also, as per Samsung’s official mention by the Korean media, “The best way to simply display a TV’s technological superiority is to realistically express natural landscapes or artworks digitally.”
