Samsung Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S22 have already grabbed the September 2022 security update. Now it’s time for the Galaxy S20 Series. The latest update is rolling out in European countries.
The latest software update is available for the LTE variants of the Galaxy S20 series and it comes with firmware version G985FXXSFFVHA. For the 5G variants, the new update is rolling out with firmware version G986BXXSFFVHA.
The September 2022 security patch fixes several known bugs and also device stability improvements. If you are a Galaxy S20 user in Europe, you can download and install the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Series Software Update
The Galaxy S20 series was launched with Android 10-based One UI 2. The devices received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update early last year and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update late last year.
The Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra are expected to get the Android 13-based One UI 5 update later this year or early next year.
