Samsung Display trademarks Flex G for dual folding device

Samsung is planning something big for the future which we eagerly waiting to see. Yes, you read it right, the South Korean tech firm may bring a dual folding foldable phone in the future. At CES 2022, Samsung manifests the Flex G and Flex S conceptual foldable devices.

The revolutionary products will change the uses of our daily life. The latest technologies are moving forward toward foldable phones and by 2023 the business of foldable phones will grow by 26 million units.

According to Samsung, the two trademarks Flex S and Flex G are the dual-folding phone-tablet hybrid device concepts designed by Samsung Display to demonstrate other form factors enabled by foldable technology.

Recently, Samsung Display registered the “Flex G” trademark in South Korea, and the second trademark the “S Flex” was registered in last July on KIPRIS. Samsung Display has also experimented with larger foldable devices, such as the Flex Note concept. The latter is likely to soon join the ranks of two other “Flex” devices from KIPRIS.

Samsung says it has no plans to release any other foldable devices until it ensures the success and maturity of the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series. And, the recent pre-orders discloses the success of these two newly launched foldable phone. (In Taiwan Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 pre-orders increased by 20 percent, and Samsung India celebrates 1,00,000 pre-orders of Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4.
