Gmail removing text labels from bottom bar, in Android

A New Android update brought a redesign of Material You on Gmail last year. Soon after which the strap that used to be on the bottom bar declined. Now Google is headed to take things an afore by removing descriptive labels. Since the first version of the Gmail app, Android user use the Mail”, “Chat”, “Spaces” and “Meet label from the bottom bar icon.

Some users have versions without any text and that version is widely released. Maybe this case of Gmail for iPad because of Material You design form. Now, the labels appear to be going away for all Gmail users with the latest app update (version 2022.08.07.x).

According to Material 3, guidelines for the navigation button consider the text label to be non-compulsory. Google advised that Material 3 guidelines for the navigation bar consider the text label to be optional. Most users at some point in Gmail more or less use the first tab.

We can remark the same in a positive way where users can define the various ways of the navigation bar. Accurately, maybe it’s different but this is good practice using the bottom bar. The new Material You is quite more exclusive than it wasn’t before. It is the default case when the Chat and Spaces are set to be perverted. Where the current design, both bottom bar shrinks break that guidance, so maybe you cannot use the bottom bar if there are only twin sections.
