Samsung shipped 2.8 million wearables in Q2 2022, ranked 2nd

Canalys released a new report on Q2 2022 wearable shipments. As per the report, the global smart wearable market grow by 2% as compared to Q1.

The total shipments were recorded at 41.7 million units. On that, basic watches recorded a big 46.6% increase in shipments, while smartwatches gets a 9.3% increase. Normal smart bands suffered a 35.5% decline in sales, though.

Who gains the top spot?

Apple took first place with 8.4 million watches shipment and adds 26.4% of the market. The South Korean tech firm, Samsung appeared in second place with 2.8 million units shipped, while Huawei ranked third with 2.6 million.

Following the above manufacturers, India’s local Noise achieved a huge 382% increase in shipments for a total of 1.8 million. “Within the Android space, Samsung is leading in leveraging its watches to enhance its premium ecosystem user experience,” said Canalys Analyst Cynthia Chen.
