Samsung has begun rolling out the August 2022 Android security patch to the Galaxy S20 users in the US. The latest security update is now available to the carrier locked units. The international versions of the phone have already picked up this update.
The August 2022 SMR (Security Maintenance Release) for the Galaxy S20 series in the Samsung Galaxy S20 August 2022 patch USUS comes with firmware version G98xUSQU3FVH1.
However, don’t be hopeful of any major new features or changes here. The changelog only mentions this month’s security fixes. As per the latest SMR, it contains fixes for dozen vulnerabilities.
If you are a owner of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series user in the US with a carrier-locked version, you can now download and install the new update on your device by navigating to Settings -> Software update ->Download and install.
Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy S22 series are now testing One UI 5 beta and it brings several new changes.
