Samsung’s latest smartwatches from its home, the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro are now getting a new software update by Verizon. Recently, Verizon pushed out the July 2022 security patch update for the newly launched fourth-generation foldable phones – Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4.
Now, Verizon has started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Watch 5 series which is running on One UI Watch 4.5 OS. The Verizon units of Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro have received the firmware version R915USQU1AVH2 and R925USQU1AVH2 respectively. The update is rolling out as Over the Air (OTA) and will take time to reach all units.

Galaxy Watch 5 Series Specifications:
Samsung shipped both the Galaxy Watch 5 series smartwatch with a Super AMOLED display. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro run on Wear OS. All models come with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. All models also offer Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and 5GHz, NFC and built-in GPS. There are Bluetooth only and LTE models of both the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro.
It packed a 284mAh battery while the 44mm model has a 410mAh battery on board. For sensors, the company has given optical heart rate sensor, electrical heart sensor, skin temperature sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, ambient light and continuous SpO2 sensor. There’s also a BioActive sensor.
