After Asia and Canada, Galaxy A53 is now updated in US

Samsung Galaxy A53 5G users have been recently upgraded to the August 2022 security patch in Asia and Canada. Now, Samsung has expanded this software update to US users. Yes, the latest August 2022 security update for the Galaxy A53 5G US user is now rolling out with the firmware version A536U1UEU3AVH2.

The carrier-unlocked version of the Galaxy A53 5G new firmware is available on all carrier networks, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.

What’s new in the Galaxy A53 August 2022 patch?

The August 2022 security patch includes dozens of CVEs that fix vulnerabilities related to the Samsung DeX, Samsung Knox, MAC address leaks, and improper access control.

If you are a US Galaxy A53 5G user with a carrier-unlocked model, you can download and install the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install.

To recall, the company launched the Galaxy A53 5G in 2022 alongside the Galaxy A33 5G and the Galaxy A73 5G. The smartphone runs on Android 12-based One UI 4.1 out of the box and the phone will get four years of major Android OS update.

The phone sports a 6.5-inch full-HD + Super AMOLED display. The good thing is that the flat display is made of Gorilla Glass 5 for scratch protection. The left and right borders are thin but the top and bottom borders are slightly thicker.

The fingerprint reader is there on the display. The Galaxy A53 5G comes with an in-house Samsung chipset, which is said to be Exynos 1280.
