From past so many achievements, it has been seen that Samsung shows its consistency in front of the world in terms of software support and upgrades. It has been witnessed in the past that all its devices received two major OS updates.
After that, Samsung switched to three big updates to all of its flagships and also to some of its mid-range phones.
And later on, moving further realises to give upgrade the updated policy and announced that some of its devices would be getting four years of Android upgrades, leaving even Google behind, which is the maker of the Android operating system itself, that’s really one of the tremendous that has been done by Samsung. Now talking about the list, that’s really a long one and apart from that now new foldable series has also been added to the list.
Four Android OS updates, five years of security updates
Now you hear it right, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will both get four years of Android OS upgrades. And both of these devices are runs on Android 12 (or you can say Android 12L in the case of the Z Fold 4), and that exactly means that it going to support all the way up to Android 16. It is predicted to have the same by 2026, the rest depends on Google if that plan going to alter little.
And as usual, when it comes to security updates, then both Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will get them till 2027. And at minimum then it going to be for at least three years.
