Samsung’s new foldable phones are now official. The brand new foldable phones finally launched after several leaks and rumors. Both the foldable phones will enter on August 26 in the market, and the prices haven’t changed from last year. Unfortunately, the prices are the same as the last ones, $1,799 for the Fold 4 and $999 for the Flip 4.
Samsung enhanced the new Z Fold 4 a bit wider, the tablet-looking Z Fold 4 comes with a 6.2-inch, 120 Hz, 2316×904 outer OLED display. As compared to the last generation, the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 is at 23.1:9, getting closer to a normal 19:9 aspect ratio. The inner display is wider, too—it’s a 7.6-inch, 2176×1812, 120 Hz OLED display.
Under the hood the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 packs Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 paired with 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 4400 mAh battery with 25 W charging.
One UI 4.1.1 based on Android 12L brings a new Taskbar:
The Mountian view tech giant, Google released Android 12L earlier this year. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 ships with Android 12L (One UI 4.1.1) with a new taskbar.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldable phone is the first to have the Android 12L taskbar. The OS screenshot from the Unpacked Event is just amazing. “The Taskbar,” as Samsung refers to it, appears alongside the typical navigation buttons or gestures and pulls from the bottom row of your home screen as well as some recent apps.

As per the latest videos coming out from the Unpacked Event, the new Taskbar disappears when you go to the home screen, and it reappears when you open up any apps, isn’t it amazing right?
Samsung made another promise, that the company will offer four years of major Android updates and five years of security patches.
On the other hand the new Galaxy Z Flip 4 sport a 6.7-inch display with 120 Hz refresh rate, 2640×1080 inner screen; a 1.9-inch, 60 Hz, 260×512 outer display; and a thickness of 6.9 mm when open and 17.1 mm when closed. The Z Flip 4 packs a 3700 mAh battery.
