Samsung has previously sold the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 without the charger. Now, according to Brazilian law, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 will be provided with a charger inside the package.
The charger information is revealed by the Twitter tipster, Abhishek Yadav, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has a dual-SIM version and the model number it will debut with SM-F936B/DS and on the other hand the single-SIM version of Galaxy Z Flip 4 will make its debut with a model number SM-F721B recently passed Brazilian regulators ANATEL certification.
This is not the first time Brazil has been asking phone makers to put chargers inside the box. It conducted Apple and Samsung to provide chargers and headphones. Regulators in the country believe that consumers are already paying very high prices for these flagships, and the fact that the extra accessories are not included in the package means that consumers need to spend more money.
If Samsung does not comply with this rule in Brazil, it will face very high fines. If Samsung pulls out of Brazil because of its unwillingness to comply with Brazilian laws, it will instead make room for other rivals such as Apple. So Samsung will abide by Brazil’s regulations.
