Galaxy Z Fold 2 now supports eSIM in the US

Galaxy Z Fold 2 eSIM in the USA

According to the latest report from the XDA, the US users of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 have been eagerly waiting for eSIM support for the latest two years since the phone was launched. Now, the company has finally started that support.

The Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes with an embedded SIM (eSIM) in addition to the physical SIM slot. The eSIM support will be found on the latest June 2022 security update for US customers. It also enables Dual SIM Dual Standby, which means you can receive calls on the second SIM if you’re already on a call on the first SIM, and vice versa.

How to register eSIM?

If you own the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and check if your carrier supports just go to the Settings app on your phone, tap Connections, and select SIM Card manager, where you should find an Add mobile plan button under the eSIMs heading.

The June 2022 update changelog also comes with new camera features, such as auto framing in the camera app and video calls, and improved Night portrait photography. If you haven’t received it yet, please wait for some time the company will send you a notification soon.
