Samsung SmartThings will get support for IoT devices at IFA 2022

The SmartThings app is Samsung's central app for controlling all smart home devices installed in your home

Samsung announced the establishment of the Home Connectivity Alliance (HCA) to improve the interoperability of IoT home devices in SmartThings earlier this year at CES 2022. This HCA partnership may be going to give a result in a few months at IFA 2022 in Berlin.

As per the new report, Samsung may expand its IoT platform at IFA this year through the Home Connectivity Alliance. The latest event is going to conduct in the first week of September, and Samsung may bring some more about HCA probably on September 2.

SmartThings will get support for IoT devices at IFA 2022

Assuming a recent report is correct, Samsung’s SmartThings platform will receive a major update later this year and will gain compatibility with smart home devices made by all the aforementioned HCA members.

The Home Connectivity Alliance is managed by Samsung which was announced in January, Whereby participating companies include American Standard, Arcelik, Beko, Electrolux, GE Appliances, Grundig, Haier, Leader, Trane, and Vestel.

Certainly, this alliance will definitely be going to help in the expansion of the SmartThings platform that includes the support for thousands of additional IoT devices and smart home appliances.
