Samsung chief visits Japan to strengthen enterprise ties and Business chains

Samsung always focuses to built high-value business relations to meet the market need and strengthen the Supply chain.

As per the report, Samsung’s de facto chief Lee Jae-Yong met with a few high-profile Japanese enterprise leaders earlier this week. Though the motive of this assembly remains unconfirmed, it’s believed that Lee’s goal is to strengthen enterprise ties with Japan.

Reviews say that the Samsung chief had dinner with Masazuka Tokura on Monday, the chairman of Sumitomo Chemical and Keidanren (Japan Enterprise Federation).

Again On Tuesday, Lee Jae-Yong reportedly held a luncheon interaction with the chairman of Hitachi and vice chairman of Keidanren, Toshiaki Higashihara. (through The Investor)

Korean-Japan Business Council in two years

Since the Korean Japan Business Council used to hold every year after its inception in 1982.  And the last two years’ annual meeting was not held due to the global Covid-19 pandemic scenario but this meeting clearly indicates both Korea’s and Japan’s business leaders are ready to resume their usual schedule.

Although as mentioned earlier, the specific reason for Lee Jae-Yong’s recent visit to Japan remains hidden, However, trade watchers predict that Lee’s meant to strengthen the business relations between Japan and Korea notably after Japan’s current commerce ban.

Both the leaders may have discussed new solutions to promote the trade exchanges between the two nations which would improve their Supply Chain.

Noticeably Samsung has a minuscule smartphone and TV market share in Japan, Lee Jae-Yong studied administration at Keiko College in Tokyo and maintains ties with Japan’s telecom carriers: NTT Docomo and KDDI.
