Folks at 91mobiles gathered the information regarding the new Samsung patent, the details show that it will have an expandable display that uses a rolling mechanism. Let’s look at the patent document to better understand the expandable display concept.

The patent was filed at the WIPO as an “Expandable display,” and it was published on May 27th, 2022. The patent also reveals that the display expends in all directions. Previously, Samsung patented a rolling display concept, and it seems like the company will use a similar concept to put this into action.

After expanding the display, it displays content that was not visible on a smaller screen due to less screen real-estate. It can be attractive when you’re at an office or public place, and you can expand the display as and when needed, or you can simply use it as a normal display smartphone.
