Google will soon allow users to stream music on the YouTube Music app via Wear OS smartwatches

At the start of this month (May 2022), Google released new information regarding the YouTube Music app on Wear OS smartwatches. Now, as per the official information, the company has started rolling out a feature that lets you stream music on your smartwatch even when it is not connected to your smartphone.

Google will kick off to stream music on the YouTube Music app via LTE or Wi-Fi on Wear OS smartwatches. It means that if you have a Wear OS smartwatch-like in the Samsung collection there is a Galaxy Watch 4. You can stream music even if you don’t download the music tracks beforehand and don’t have your phone connected to the watch.

If you have an LTE-equipped smartwatch, the YouTube Music app can stream music directly through a cellular connection. A lot of runners and cyclists would appreciate this feature.

How to follow it?

Once you open the YouTube Music app on Wear OS smartwatches like the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, users would be able to browse through music and then tap on a particular playlist or track to start the playback immediately. The feature will be available soon.
