[US] Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite receiving April 2022 security update

The Korean tech giant has officially released the April 2022 security patch update for the S10 series phone Galaxy S10 Lite in the US. The update is currently pushing out to the carrier-unlocked variant of the smartphone.

The latest software update for the Galaxy S10 Lite’s US unlocked variant comes with firmware version G770U1UES6EVD3. It includes the April 2022 security patch that fixes over 88 privacy and security vulnerabilities.

How to update Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite?

To update your Galaxy S10 Lite user in the US, then you can just download and install the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. The smartphone received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update a few weeks ago.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ panel, with a full-HD+ resolution and supports HDR10+ color profile. The Galaxy S10 Lite is powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC, which is last year’s flagship chip.

As far as the cameras are concerned, at the rear it has a main 48-megapixel camera captures good stills, thanks to OIS for better stabilisation. The wide-angle camera also does a good job under good light. The 5-megapixel macro camera also captures very good extreme close-ups. 4K video recording is supported but only up to 30fps.
