Samsung begins GOS update distribution in South Korea

Recently, many users are reported that the Game Optimization Service (GOS) was artificially slowing down app performance on several of its phones including the new Galaxy S22 series flagships event the company itself confirmed regarding the same.

According to the information, there are over 10,000 apps including first-party Samsung ones were affected while benchmark platforms weren’t which resulted in Geekbench banning the last four generations of Galaxy S phones.

Samsung is now gearing up for this matter and released the GOS update in South Korea. This latest update is now rolling out to Galaxy S22 users with CPU and GPU performance limitations. The update also adds a Game Performance Management Mode and brings the latest March security patch.

The phone comes with a 6.10-inch touchscreen display. Samsung Galaxy S22 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It comes with 8GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S22 runs Android 12 and is powered by a 3,700mAh non-removable battery. The Samsung Galaxy S22 supports wireless charging, as well as proprietary fast charging.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S22 on the rear packs a rear camera. Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy S22 include Wi-Fi 802.11 ax, GPS, Bluetooth v5.20, NFC, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi Direct, 3G, 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India) , and 5G with active 4G on both SIM cards.
