According to SamMobile, the Korean tech giant Samsung to provide security updates for its sizable Android mobile devices before Google officially releases a fix.
Now the new report suggests that Tel Aviv University researchers uncovered problems with the way Galaxy S8, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S20, and Galaxy S21 phones stored cryptographic keys through ARM’s TrustZone system.
It is reported that the first fix will be pushed from the August 2021 security patch, and then all the fixes will be completed in October. If you are still using an older version, please update to the latest supported version as soon as possible.
Samsung’s security for its phones sounds solid enough, at least on paper. They feature a layered environment surrounding something called a TrustZone Operating System (or TZOS), which runs alongside Android and performs cryptographic functions.
