Update 1 – December 18, 2022: The carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is now receiving the new security patch update in the US. The South Korean tech giant has done a tremendous job in terms of the major Android 13 One UI 5 update rollout. Several Galaxy devices have already received the stable One UI 5 update which you can check in our specific article.
Samsung has also released a new security update to a bunch of Galaxy devices. The December 2022 security patch update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE is rolling with the firmware version G990USQS4DVL1. The update is currently available on Xfinity Mobile’s network in the US.
For your information, the December 2022 patch update fixes 93 security vulnerabilities which were recently announced in the Samsung Security Bulletin.
In order to install the latest security patch update on your device, you can now install the new update on your phone by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
To recall, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE was launched with Android 12. The company has already delivered the stable Android 13 update a few weeks ago. It is eligible to receive three more Android OS updates in the future.
